A Little About Xenia, Ohio
Xenia was founded in 1803, the same year Ohio became a state, and was laid out as the seat of newly formed Greene County. The name comes from the Greek word for hospitality, a suggestion traditionally credited to the Rev. Robert Armstrong.
Area high schools: Xenia High School and Legacy Christian Academy.
What makes Xenia special: Xenia is known for its historic downtown, its long connection to the Ohio Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Orphans’ Home and a trail network that has made it a regional bicycling crossroads.
