A Little About Fairborn, Ohio
Fairborn was created in 1950 through the merger of the neighboring villages of Fairfield and Osborn—its name combines the two. Osborn had been relocated during the expansion of what became Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, making Fairborn’s origin unlike that of any other Ohio city.
Area high schools: Fairborn High School.
What makes Fairborn special: Fairborn is closely connected to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Wright State University and is known for its aviation heritage and downtown community events.
